Theegarten-Pactec to showcase CWM2 wrapping machine at Ipack-Ima 2018

PKBR Staff Writer Published 12 April 2018

Theegarten-Pactec will showcase its CWM2 wrapping machine for chocolate products at this year’s at Ipack-Ima event in Italy.

The event will take place between 29 May and 1 June in Milan.

CWM2’s modular design will help users to process different products and folding types on one machine while providing fast changeover times.

The modular packaging machine can produce small-sized chocolate products with a performance range of up to 500 packaged chocolate articles per minute.

CWM2 provides five different types of wrapping, including double twist, top twist, side twist, bunch and envelope fold with or without banderole.

Theegarten-Pactec will exhibit machine at the event, which has been pre-sold to an undisclosed customer in Italy.

CWM2 is a compact and flexible system, which features new and easy-to-manage machine control system and an advanced user interface.

Sensors in the system will help to process operating data, providing user with easy access to current machine states at any time.

Based on the data, the user can carry out maintenance and cleaning processes for the system. The touchscreen of the system mostly simplifies error diagnosis.

According to the company, functions such as no product - no packaging, automatic changing of wrapping material reels, and remote diagnostics are as easy to implement as the automatic ejection of double-wrapped products following a change in packaging material..

Designed to process all commercially available foils, the CWM2 system supports easy conversion between product format and folding type.

Around 40 minutes of time is required for the changeover between envelope fold and double-twist wrapping packaging types with unchanged product.

Continuous wrapping material infeed with servo technology allows to cut packaging materials at different lengths for inner and outer wrappers.

Theegarten-Pactec provides packaging machines for small-sized confectionery products and other foodstuffs such as stock cubes. It also offers machinery solutions for non-food items such as detergent tablets.
