Körrisaft chooses RPC container for curry ketchup
Germany-based Körrisaft, the official ketchup of FC St Pauli in Hamburg since summer 2008 has selected a plastic bottle from RPC Containers for its curry ketchup. The standard 520 ml Eclipse multilayer PP bottle is filled at Farmhaus Produktions und Handelsgesellschaft in Düsseldorf, Germany.
RPC said the plastic bottles feature a barrier layer which protects the gourmet sauce from excessive oxygen penetration, guaranteeing a longer shelf life and the sleeve by Riviera NL-Drachten features the club's brown and white colors to ensure on-shelf presence.
The PP bottle takes into account safety concerns in the football stadium and also appeals to a wider audience.
In parallel with the introduction of the squeeze bottle, the ketchup has an expanded sales network including Metro Deutschland, REWE, Edeka and GLOBUS, the company said.
The curry ketchup is flavored with caramel, aloe vera juice and chillies, apart from a special mixture of spices. It was first launched in a glass bottle with a clamp top.
